New mammoth jumping hill HS225 Vikersund |
Haven´t ever heard about Vikersund? Than believe that HS225 Vikersundbakken (hill size - the "little iron dwarf" on Holmenkollen is just HS134) is now the largest jumping hill in the world. Vikersund is situated just 40 west of Oslo. Slovenian Planica was the largest jumping hill for ages - famous and traditional. But Norwegians wanna to be better so Vikersundbakken was enlarged during the general reconstruction in 2010.

New world record holder Johan Remen Evensen (NOR) |
The first skyfliing event after reconstruction was enough to set new world record. Norwegian Johan Remen Evensen landed on the mark of 246,5 meters in the qualification. We will see whether 250m is possible in Vikersund?
The first shared victory was captured by new world record holder Johan Remen Evensen (NOR) and Austrian Gregor Schlierezauer (getting back into top form after injury).
