Many great athletes are going to come to compete in Holmenkollen. There are some of them that truly desire our attention:
Cross-country skiing is Norwegian winter sport number one. So ler´s begin. No doubt. Norwegian Marit Bjørgen in actual form should be the Holmenkollen Championships most shinning star - pretty hard to beat this year, very stable in last years and triple gold medalists in Vancouver 2010.
Situation in men´s category is a bit more complicated. Swiss Dario Cologna is the current World Cup leader but the biggest attention will be focused on Norwegian "well-behaved boy" Perter Northug. I can´t forget the best distance skier in last years, Czech Lukáš Bauer. Lukáš already won everything he could but not any golden medal from "great" event like Olympic Games or World Championships.
Ski jumping, my "heart thing", will be very specular events in Oslo. Ski jumping = Austria. That´s true of last years. There is no doubt that Thomas Morgenstern is the best in this season. But he is not that sovereign in last weeks. "Polish Eagle" Adam Malysz or four times Olympic winner, Swiss Simon Amman is waiting for his fault.
Wanna to bet for sure. I would reccomend you gold for Austrian ski jumpers in both team races. Morgenstern, Schlierenzauer, Kofler, Koch, Loiztl.

Petter Northug (NOR) - Bad boy for sure, arogant as well, although pretty good skier |
Lukáš Bauer (CZE) - Tough hills, high stable speed are his weapons. |
